Aficionado is a boutique software development company from Ireland.
We are a spin-out from the Insight centre for data analytics, based in University College Dublin. The founders of Aficionado have their roots in research but they now bring their research know-how and experience to bear on real world issues.
Lately, there has been a lot of noise about big data, but most of the conversations are about how to store and manage it.
At Aficionado we want to take a deeper look.
We want to aggregate and analyse. We want to find the meaning in the noise, extract signals and patterns from the data, and harness them to produce really useful applications with tangible benefits.
We achieve this by utilising the latest cutting edge research techniques and approaches. Couple the results of all this labour with an intuitive, user-friendly interface and suddenly you're making that data work for you.
